Not So Little Fockers

I loved Little Fockers' prequel "Meet the Fockers." So I sort of had some level of expectation for this movie. It was able to meet that expectation but I hoped for something more...

Six years or so forward, Greg "Gaylord" Focker and Pam Focker now has their own family with two little Fockers - Henry and Samantha.

All is pretty well, until father-in-law Jack decides to pay the family a visit. Add to that Pam's ex, Kevin played by Owen Wilson, Greg's own set of parents, and the wild pharmaceutical rep named Andi Garcia played by Jessica Alba.

Similar to the prequel, Little Fockers was mainly about the hilarious conflict between Greg (Ben Stiller) and Jack Byrnes (Robert DeNiro). The tandem was still effective and the movie was both funny and family values-centric. However, for the same reason, I found the movie lacking. I somehow expected that the storyline focus would be on the two little fockers for obvious reasons. Although the storyline was about Greg and Pam raising their kids, the children hardly had much to do about most of the highlights of the movie.

Other than that, the Little Fockers is still a good movie for the family and fathers going through some tough times with their tweeners and in-laws.

The movie is distributed by Universal Pictures and directed by Paul Weitz. Other casts include Teri Polo (Pamela Focker), Blythe Danner (Dina Byrnes), Dustin Hoffman (Bernard 'Bernie' Focker), and Barbra Streisand (Rosalind 'Roz' Focker).

I also had a very comfortable experience watching the advance screening in SM Mall of Asia's Director's Club cinema. It was my first time there and I love the La-Z Boy armchairs seats.
