Brimming with uncertainty and excitement among other things, Elementary's new season promises new twists after the dynamic duo, Holmes & Watson, parted ways.
Holmes returns to New York with a new apprentice and a renewed interest in working with the NYPD after being fired by London’s MI6. On the other hand, Captain Gregson won’t let him resume consulting for the department without permission from his former partner, Watson, the NYPD’s new go-to private investigator.

ELEMENTARY stars Jonny Lee Miller as detective Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson in a modern-day drama about a crime-solving duo that crack the NYPD’s most impossible cases. With the mischievous Sherlock Holmes now running free in New York solving crime, he’s going to need someone to keep him grounded, and it’s elementary that it’s a job for Watson.
Jonny Lee Miller first gained international attention with his performance as the drug-addicted punk Sick Boy in Danny Boyle’s drama “Trainspotting,” with Ewan McGregor. In 2012, Miller appeared in Tim Burton’s “Dark Shadows” opposite Johnny Depp.
Lucy Liu has had great critical and commercial success in film, television and on Broadway. In 2012, her films included “The Man with the Iron Fists,” and co-starring Russell Crowe.

On television, Liu appeared as “Ling Woo” in the hit series, “Ally McBeal,” a role that earned her an Emmy Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
